This beautiful drink was for a birthday gift, a rush order, and we got it crafted well within the customer’s window.
The birthday girl lives in Maine, likes Negronis, and likes blue…so we went with a blueberry gin (Greenall’s) and a splash of Empress 1908 for color. Then we chose Dolin Blanc and Luxardo Bitter Bianco. The garnish was Maine blueberry “clouds” and a lemon twist “lightning bolt” to evoke the New England weather.
“WOW! Beyond all my expectations!!! The priceless touch Empress gin. I can’t wait to hear her delight!!!” was the response.
